COMPETITION & EXHIBITION
MULTICULTURAL YOUTH ART
The Multicultural Youth Art Competition returns this year, bringing together a vibrant celebration of creativity, cultural diversity, and young artistic talent. Alongside the competition, a public exhibition will showcase selected outstanding artworks, offering young artists the opportunity to present their work in a professional gallery and share their unique perspectives with the wider community.
Jointly presented by the Lions Club of Melbourne Ausina and the Creative Asia Foundation, this year’s theme, Together As One, invites participants to explore unity, belonging, and mutual understanding in today’s diverse society. Through artistic expression, young people are encouraged to reflect on cultural identity, foster empathy, and imagine a more inclusive future.
Selected outstanding artworks will be professionally exhibited at the Creative Asia Art Centre, providing participants with the opportunity to showcase their creativity in a contemporary gallery setting and share their voices with the wider community.
The Awards Ceremony will be held on 26 September, where the top three winners will receive prizes worth up to AUD $500. Additional awards and prizes will also be presented to outstanding participants.

TOGETHER AS ONE
Every Colour, Every Story, Together As One.
Together As One celebrates unity, inclusion, and the strength found in diversity. In a multicultural society, people may come from different cultural, linguistic, and ethnic backgrounds, yet we all share the same hopes for connection, understanding, and belonging.
Through this theme, young artists are invited to explore how art can bring people together, overcome cultural barriers, and encourage empathy and mutual respect. Their artworks may reflect friendship, community, cultural identity, collaboration, or their vision of a society where differences are celebrated and everyone can stand together as one.

ART COMPETITION 2026
The Multicultural Youth Art Competition 2026 invites young artists from diverse cultural backgrounds across Australia to celebrate creativity, cultural identity, and social inclusion through art.
Presented by the Lions Club of Melbourne Ausina and the Creative Asia Foundation, this year’s theme, Together As One, encourages participants to reflect on the power of unity in a multicultural society. Through painting, drawing, and mixed-media artworks, young artists are invited to express their unique perspectives, share their personal stories, and explore how diversity can strengthen communities and inspire mutual understanding.

Exhibition
Up to 300 outstanding artworks will be selected for the Multicultural Youth Art Exhibition, held from 23–30 September 2026 at the Creative Asia Art Centre, Melbourne.
The exhibition celebrates the creativity and diverse perspectives of young artists, offering participants the opportunity to present their work in a professional gallery environment and share their artistic voices with the wider community.
Certificate
Every participant will receive an Official Certificate of Participation in recognition of their creative contribution to the competition.
CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
We are currently inviting young artists to take part in the Multicultural Youth Art Competition 2026.
We encourage participants to express their interpretations of Social Harmony with their diverse cultural background through their artistic creations.
ARTWORK SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Eligible Formats: Two-dimensional artworks, including paintings, drawings, mixed media, and collage. Please note: Photography and AI-generated artworks are not accepted.

Dimensions: Artworks must be either A4 or A3 size. Pieces exceeding A3 will not be accepted.

Originality: All entries must be the original work of the participant.

Artwork Description: Each submission must include a brief statement of no more than 200 characters (in English or Chinese), outlining the artwork title, inspiration, content, and the creative process.

Digital Submission: Please upload a clear scan or a high-quality photograph of the artwork. File size must not exceed 10MB, in JPG or PNG format. Physical artworks will be required upon invitation for the exhibition.
