Event Info

In Between

In Between is a group exhibition situated within an LGBTQIA+ context, exploring the multiplicity of ways in which identity, emotion, and existence are experienced and expressed.

Rather than defining a single condition, In Between proposes an open space—one where different ways of being can coexist, intersect, and unfold without hierarchy or limitation.

“In between” is not confined to ambiguity or transition. It may be fluid or defined, shifting or already affirmed. It can exist in uncertainty, but also in clarity and self-recognition.

To enter In Between is not simply to encounter an exhibition, but to enter a state—a mode of being that does not require arrival or explanation.

Emerging from LGBTQIA+ lived experiences, this exhibition acknowledges the ongoing negotiation between self and society, visibility and invisibility, expression and understanding. At the same time, it resists reducing these experiences into fixed narratives, instead opening a space for multiplicity, difference, and personal ways of being.

Beyond the exhibition itself, In Between also extends into a series of public programs, including an Opening event, Artist Talks, Workshops, Queer Drag performances, and a community Storytelling Night. These programs aim to further activate the space as one of connection, participation, and shared experience.

In Between

We Are Who We Are

In Between is not about defining what something is, but about holding space for how it exists. It embraces:

This exhibition invites works that reflect, question, or simply inhabit these conditions—whether directly through LGBTQIA+ experiences or through broader explorations of identity, perception, and presence.

  • fluidity and stability

  • clarity and ambiguity

  • individuality and coexistence

CALL FOR ARTISTS

We invite artists from diverse backgrounds to respond to In Between through their own practices.

We are interested in works that:

  • Engage with LGBTQIA+ experiences (directly or indirectly)

  • Explore identity, body, intimacy, or perception

  • Reflect states of transition, stability, or coexistence

  • Create atmosphere, sensory experience, or spatial engagement

  • Embrace ambiguity, openness, and non-linear expression

We welcome a wide range of media, including installation, painting, sculpture, video, digital media, sound, and performance.

Artists are not required to define or categorise their work. We are interested in how works exist, resonate, and unfold within a shared space.

PUBLIC PROGRAM

The exhibition will be accompanied by a series of public programs, including workshops, performances, and community activities, designed to encourage participation, connection, and shared cultural experiences. Key dates and program details will be announced on our website. Please stay tuned for updates.
