Double Seventh Cultural Arts Festival
Multicultural Youth Art Exhibition 2025
As one of Australia’s most culturally diverse and inclusive states, Victoria has long supported the development of youth cultural expression and artistic creativity. The 2025 Multicultural Youth Art Competition, hosted by the Creative Asia Foundation, has now successfully completed its judging process and officially enters the exhibition phase.
We are proud to announce that the Multicultural Youth Art Exhibition will serve as a key component of the Double Seventh Festival Arts Series, taking place in mid-to-late July 2025 at the Creative Asia Art Centre, located in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD.
This festival is presented by the Australia Women and Children Protection and Development Inc. (AWCPD) and spans two months — one in the Gregorian calendar (July) and one in the Lunar calendar (also July) — through a series of two exhibitions and multiple art workshops, cultural talks, and women’s empowerment activities.
Jointly presented by the Creative Asia Foundation, AWCPD, and Artspie Australia, and supported by AMACC, Asia Media, and Le Grange Gallery, this initiative aims to promote multicultural exchange and intergenerational connection through art.
While the Double Seventh Festival is traditionally known as a romantic legend in East Asian cultures, it also embodies deeper values — family ties, craftsmanship, cultural continuity, and personal growth. This exhibition celebrates these very themes through the voices of young artists, recognising that today’s youth are not only inheritors of language and culture, but also creators of the future.
Centred around the theme “Where We Are From, Where We Are Going,” the exhibition invites children and teenagers to express their identities, explore their cultural heritage, and envision the future through art. It is not only a visual experience but also a meaningful cultural dialogue and a celebration of growth.
We warmly invite the community to attend and witness the emergence of the next generation of artists — and to join us in celebrating this collective festival of culture and creativity.
