DIY Buffer Bag: Carrying Home is a free hands-on art workshop led by the artist, inviting participants to create their own unique handmade tote bag while reflecting on ideas of memory, belonging, and the meaning of home.

Hosted at Brunswick Town Hall, the workshop aims to support and strengthen Brunswick’s vibrant local arts community by creating opportunities for creative participation, cultural exchange, and community connection. Through accessible art-making experiences, the program contributes to the ongoing development of the area’s diverse cultural ecosystem and encourages greater public engagement with local creative practice.

The event is hosted by the Australia Multi Art & Culture Council dedicated to fostering cross-cultural artistic exchange and supporting emerging creative voices.

More than a craft activity, DIY Buffer Bag: Carrying Home invites participants to transform an everyday object into a personal expression of identity, memory, and place.
